Frequently Asked Questions
FAQ
Q: How can I view the status of my order? A: Go to the Customer Service, Account Information page. This page lists all your orders. Click the date of the order whose status you wish to view.
Q: What are your shipping costs? A: You can view an estimate of shipping costs by viewing your cart. However, final shipping costs will be displayed on the Invoice you see before confirming your order.
Q: Can I get a custom guitar painted? A: Only if you insist! We have great spray equipment and will do a professional job, but why would you cover beautiful wood? I've seen some killer paint on guitars but nothin' makes my toes curl like great grain and a good finish.....if we are talking guitars that is.
Q: Do you do small repairs? A: Sure and we do it well! But unless you are local (NE Atlanta), it is probably best to take it to your local shop. Now if you want to restore, relic, upgrade or customize, send us a note.
Q: Can I get a Left handed Model? A: Sure can! We just turn the shop upside down and guitars come out left handed. No Problem! Yes, any of our models are available left handed.
Q: Why does it take so long? A: You want it done correctly...right? Wood finishes like lacquer take a while to cure, they may be dry to the touch in a day, but if you lay a fresh finished guitar in a case (even if it feels and looks dry) you will find the guitar picks up the pattern of the lining of the case or even sticks to it.
Q: I play blues (or metal, or jazz...) which of your guitars/basses is right for me? A: The answer is the one you like the best. Unlike most manufacturers, we can help you choose the wood and pickup combination that will sound right for what you are playing. Generally the shape and design of the guitar has very little to do with the sound except for hollow bodies or guitars with radical designs. No more will you have to choose from a limited array of designs based on the music you play. If you want a sick, evil looking guitar to play John Denver songs, we'll build it!
Q: What's with the chick names for your instruments? A: Since music has been around, musicians have been naming their instruments after women. It makes sense, treat your guitar right...and it's beautiful music forever.
Q: Are they really Handmade in the USA? A: Generally yes, but depends how literal you want to be. If you think handmade means we we sit and whittle the body with a pocket knife and no power tools then no. But each instrument or part that we make is cut and measured by trained luthiers and not computer controlled machines. Our factory is in the US, just outside of Atlanta, everything that we make is made there. I can't say that every part on every guitar is made in the USA.
