Q: Why do you recommend a pickup set that is not an evenly matched set? A: There is nothing wrong with a set that is evenly matched BUT the neck pickup will be naturally louder because the strings vibrate more. A pickup set that has the bridge pickup wound a little hotter will be more evenly matched in tone and volume.
